Actually, there is no us, only 1. Yes you guessed it, I'm a one man band, a freelance, an individual, a lone gun.

Now, before you put your mug of coffee down to check out other sites, just take a moment to look about. Just because there's only me, doesn't mean I can't do what you need doing does it? If you're not sure then you could be making a mistake in dismissing Carson Web. This is the about page, so read on and find out.

Carson Web is, in essence, Paul Canning and no I am not a trained web developer, nor have I undertaken any courses or have any web authoring qualifications. In fact, I have been teaching myself web authoring as a hobby for a number of years and have already built / currently building several websites purely as a sideline.

Now at this point, if you already know that you want a website that incorporates a large shopping cart, flash animations etc then I wont waste any more of your time. I don't provide these. It's not that I couldn't, but I find these are either too time consuming or unnecessary in most sites. There's plenty of established web developers out there working for large companies quite happy to charge hundreds of pounds a day for those sorts of applications.

STOP PRESS: I'm currently setting up an online shop for one of the sites I have already built but currently don't want to offer this as an addon as it's not finished so the end results aren't available. I'm not happy to offer something and take money for it if I can't confidently say I'm happy. Sorry.

I have always kept my websites clean, simple and easy to view. This keeps the viewer on the site and allows them to relax, not worrying about pop ups and whether or not they will have to download the latest version of software just to view one page because it's got Flash or Java.

I have decided that it's time to try and make my hobby pay for itself especially in the light of current redundancies within the NHS where I work, and perhaps dip a toe into the business side of web building. The vehicle for this venture is Carson Web.
